Official permit guide
Hosts and/or artists must procure all necessary permits and written authorities required for the light pieces on their own.

You must have your NemID at hand for the process.

Event permission from Events og Arrangementer (Events and Arrangements)
Please apply no later than 4 weeks before the event
Anyone wishing to place equipment on public roads must always apply for permission from the local authorities.
If the square, road or location is private, please apply for permission from the respective owners.
It is especially important to supply accurate information about the size and weight of the equipment to be set up.
If an element is taller than 1 meter, you will most likely need to apply for permission from Center for Byggeri.

Building permit from Center for Byggeri (The Building Centre)
A permission/written authority from Events og Arrangementer is necessary for acquiring a building permit.
Submitted building permits can be modified later.
When you apply for a permit from Events og Arrangementer and receive an approval receipt (this may take up to 4 weeks), you can apply for a building permit if your piece requires one. Click the button above to see the requirements. Building permits may take up to 3 months to process, depending on the size of your project.
A permission/written authority from Events og Arrangementer is necessary for acquiring a building permit. This written authority is your proof that Copenhagen Municipality has given its approval as the owner of the desired location.
In private ownership scenarios, you must get the written authority from the private property owner.
