The Forgotten Flock

#81 The Forgotten Flock

By: Thorgerdur Edda Eiriksdottir (IS), Glen Legind Jonassen (DK) & Celine Skjerven (NO)

The Forgotten Flock visualizes a flock of birds moving through the sky. Its changing state is driven by deforestation data from a Madagascan rainforest. As their song fades with the trees, it invites reflection on how human actions shape the environment.

Listen closely—perhaps you can hear how the birdsong disappears along with the forest.
