#50 Point of view
By: Frederik Skålerud Hougs
An interactive installation that utilizes the beautiful roof of the old ticket office/toilet, located in the middle of Trianglen.
With live data from DMI, the luminous animation moves across the roof, illustrating the life of the wind. The wind is reflected in the dynamic movement of the light.
When the wind comes from the north, the roof will display the wind direction and strength, interacting with the liveliness of the light. Nothing repeats itself, as shifting wind directions and intensities continuously create new expressions.
The installation’s setup is based on chaotic order. The seemingly unstructured placement of light sources, combined with data from systematic digital coordinate systems, forms a graphic layer that shapes the overall expression.
Point of View engages with the idea of chaos as a matter of perspective. Depending on the observer’s position, the visual motion of the light appears different. Seen from the north, the movement takes on one form, while from the south, it presents an entirely different expression.
